10/17/17 @ 3:15 p.m.:
· Moved Consent Agenda Item No. 14 to Regular Agenda Item No. 2 and added Correspondence - Authorize the acceptance of Transportation Alternative awarded funds for the 19th and Iowa pedestrian/bicycle underpass;
· Added the HRC administrative proposal to Consent Item No. 18 - Approve a mural proposal for the wall on the south side of Ernst and Sons, 826 Mass., in the 800-block alley on the east side of Massachusetts Street; and
· Updated the City Manager’s Report.
In order to be included as part of the agenda packet, written communications must be received by the City Manager’s Office by 12:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting. Communications received after 12:00 p.m. will be printed and given to the Commissioners at the meeting rather than being included as part of the online agenda. · Commissioners are invited to observe a disaster simulation on Thursday, October 19, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Location: Douglas County Emergency Management. RSVP’s are required for this event, and participants can observe any portion of the event they wish to.
· Commissioners are invited to attend a luncheon hosted by Black Hills Energy to receive an operations update on Thursday, October 19 at 12:00 p.m. Location: Lawrence Public Library Auditorium.
· November 7 City Commission meeting will start at 5:00 p.m.

Building Code Board of Appeals:
One position expires 11/30/17 and is not eligible for reappointment. This position is designated for an architect.
Citizen Advisory Board for Fair and Impartial Policing:
