AGENDA
1. Public Input
The
public is allowed to speak at public comment after first being recognized by
the Chair, except that any complaints or comments regarding individually
identifiable officers are not allowed. Rather, any such comments or complaints
may be provided to the Board in writing, and the Board will forward such
comment or complaint to the appropriate person within the Lawrence Police
Department. The Board may establish reasonable limitations on the allowable
length
of public comment. As a general practice, the Board will not discuss or debate
these items, nor will it make decisions on items presented during this time.
2. Approve minutes from March 26, 2019 meeting
3. Receive briefing on examples of hypothetical investigation steps as requested by board.
4. Receive annual reports on Racial or Other Bias-Based Policing from the Lawrence Police Dept.
5. Approve annual report to the City Commission
6. Chair's Remarks and Recommendations – Added 07/11/19
7. Quick Updates:
a. Follow up about LGBTQ training for members of the Police Department
8. Cancel July 17, 2019 meeting
9. Adjourn
