This page documents each stakeholder's current and future roles and responsibilities in the operation of the regional transportation system across a range of transportation services and related support services.

Archived Data ManagementThe development of systems to collect transportation data for use in non–operational purposes (e.g., planning and research).
Emergency ManagementThe development of systems to provide emergency call taking, public safety dispatch, and EOC operations.
Freeway ManagementThe development of systems to monitor freeway traffic flow and roadway conditions, and provide strategies to improve the flow of traffic on the freeway. Includes systems to provide information to travelers on the roadway.
Incident ManagementThe development of systems to provide rapid and effective response to incidents. Includes systems to detect and verify incidents, along with coordinated agency response to the incidents.
Maintenance and Construction ManagementThe development of systems to manage the maintenance of roadways in the Region. Includes the managing of construction and winter maintenance operations.
Surface Street
Management
The development of signal systems that react to changing traffic conditions and provide coordinated intersection timing along a corridor. Arterial management will also include network surveillance capabilities such as detectors and CCTV cameras.
Transit ManagementThe development of systems to more efficiently manage fleets of transit vehicles. Includes systems to provide transit traveler information both pre–trip and during the trip.
Traveler InformationThe development of systems to provide static and real–time transportation information to travelers.
