Executive Summary: |
Municipal Services & Operations has solicited bids for the repairs of concrete sidewalks and ADA handicap ramps located within zone one that are the responsibility of the City to repair.
This project will establish a base project cost for work known to be the responsibility of the City. It also will establish unit pricing for any additional work that the City of Lawrence is required to perform as part of this program. It will also establish unit pricing for private property owners to utilize for making repairs to sidewalks they have been cited as being hazardous, if they choose. Please refer to the attached bid solicitation which specified to contractors that their pricing would be extended to private property owners within the first zone.

Fiscal Impact (Amount/Source): |
The City Commission adopted, with its 2019 Capital Improvement Program, funding for this program from the Capitol Improvement Reserve Fund. Funding comes from CIP# PW19E5, which establishes $200,000.00 for repairs that are the responsibility of the City. CIP# PW19E4 establishes $800,000.00 for financial assistance and cost-sharing grant funding.
