Executive Summary: |
An application was submitted by Home Sweet Home, on behalf of Larry McElwain, the property owner of record, to rezone approximately 2.7 acres located in the 1900 Block of Wakarusa Drive from IBP (Industrial Business Park) District to IL (Limited Industrial) District with use restrictions.
The applicant is seeking rezoning of the property to accommodate the development of a pet campus including Kennel and Sales & Grooming uses. The property as zoned does not permit Kennel and Sales & Grooming. The applicant is proposing to self-limit uses permitted in the IL District to retain the character of the IBP District and permit the two uses desired to accommodate the Kennel and Sales & Grooming uses.
The Planning Commission considered the item at their December 18, 2018 meeting and voted unanimously to forward the rezoning request to the City Commission with a recommendation for approval. |
