Executive Summary: |
The Hospital District requires an Institutional Development Plan (IDP) that identifies a master plan for institutional uses such as the community hospital. The Land Development Code establishes the Special Use Permit as the process for review and approval. This revised master plan for LMH includes property acquired on the east side of Maine Street and property located along the east side of Michigan Street south of 3rd Street which is proposed in this SUP for redevelopment. These lots are proposed to be redeveloped to provide additional surface parking to serve the hospital. SUP-17-00153 identifies the proposed improvements in accordance with the Land Development Code. A later phase of the master plan includes the potential construction of on-street public parking spaces and participation in the future shared use path providing a connection from the Sandra Shaw trail to Michigan Street.
