Executive Summary: |
Units 292 and 277 have exceeded their usable service life and are scheduled for replacement in the 2019 operational budget. Bids were received on April 16, 2019 following the City’s purchasing procedures. Unit 292 serves as a primary unit that supports critical infrastructure for the City’s water distributions network. Unit 277 provides parallel service for the City’s wastewater collection systems. Both units meet the replacement criteria. Both units will be equipped with snow removal equipment for additional dual function capabilities for added efficiencies with City service.
The following bids were received:
Staff recommends awarding the bid to Laird Noller Ford, for $169,812 in compliance with the City’s local preference policy which enables the city to award responsible bids to local vendors when they are no more than 1 percent, and no more than $10,000 higher than the lowest responsible bid. |
