Executive Summary: |
In January 2018, the City Commission authorized $495,000 in Housing Trust Funds for the Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center – Bridges Transitional Recovery Program project. The project is planned to construct 8-12 beds for rental transitional housing and mental health recovery facility and is Tier II of the community mental health model. The purpose of this agenda item is the formal approval of the agreement between the City and Bert Nash for this project. The agreement provides that the City’s funds will be transferred when Bert Nash provides evidence that the other funding for the project has been secured. Although Bert Nash anticipates commencing the project late this year or early next, the agreement provides that they have one year from the date of the agreement to commence construction, with the completion anticipated no later than December 31, 2020. Bert Nash will be required to provide the City with a final report with a financial report photos of the project and a project summary. The funds must be used in accordance with the approved application.
