Accept the Housing Market Analysis report from BBC Research and Consulting. |

Executive Summary: |
BBC Research and Consulting has been engaged by the City to conduct a housing study. BBC Research and Consulting staff presented initial portions of the study earlier at a June 5, 2018 City Commission meeting. The final report and the recommendations from the consultants have now been finalized. The Affordable Housing Advisory Board will receive the report at its September 10, 2018 meeting.
The Board of Realtors contributed $20,000 toward this effort and the City appreciates that organization’s contribution.
This study provides valuable data and recommendations regarding the prioritization of our limited funds for affordable housing. This will help target the dollars and leverage them in the most effective manner possible. Being able to demonstrate results with the funds is very important. Staff has prepared some possible next steps and looks forward to discussion from the City Commission on this issue.
