Planning staff recommends approving Special Event Permit SE-17-00384 for a Live on Mass Concert in the 1000 block of Massachusetts Street & 1020 Massachusetts Street. |

Executive Summary: |
As a part of the Special Event Permit review process, events categorized as Type 5 (public events primarily for entertainment) require City Commission approval.
The applicant proposes to have a live concert on September 1, 2017 in the 1000 block of Massachusetts Street. The event, including set up time, will run from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM. This event is the third in a concert series and is also associated with a Use of Right-of-Way permit and street closure request. Ref: CL-26583 which was approved by the City Commission on August 1, 2017. The event is intended to provide a local entertainment draw for outside economic impact.
