Recommendations/Options/Action Requested: 

 

Approve Special Event Permit SE-17-00254 for the Taking Root Grand Opening for the Sunrise Project at 1501 Learnard Avenue to run from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017. 

 

 

 

 

Executive Summary:

As a part of the Special Event Permit review process, events categorized as Type 2 (Promotional  activities or devices intended to attract attention to a specific place, business, organization, event, or district, such as outdoor entertainment or display booths) may be processed administratively. However, as the event’s activities will utilize the on-site parking and patrons will use on-street parking in the area, the permit will require City Commission approval.

 

The event will have outdoor music on a 10 ft x 10 ft stage and several informational booths, both indoors and outdoors. Food will be served inside the building and beverages will be served outside.

 

This is a one-time event which will run from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017.
