Recommendations/Options/Action Requested:

 

Accept dedication of right-of-way associated with Final Plat, PF-17-00162, Final Plat for Fambrough Addition. This plat dedicates new right-of-way for realigned Fambrough Drive and creates a new development lot on KU property. Submitted by Landplan Engineering for University of Kansas, property owner of record.

 

Executive Summary:

The property is located on the southwest corner of Mississippi Street and Fambrough Drive. The project, when complete, will realign Fambrough Drive to intersect with 11th Street at a 4-way intersection.

 

The project will also create a lot located on the north side of the realigned Fambrough Drive. The lot will be part of the University of Kansas property. The Final Plat conforms to the approved Preliminary Plat/Preliminary Development Plan (PDP-16-00311) and has been administratively approved. The City Commission’s role is to accept the dedications of right-of-way and to vacate a portion of the existing alley right-of-way.  The right-of-way for existing Fambrough Drive will be vacated at a future date at the time that the realignment street project is completed.

 

There are no easements being dedicated with this Final Plat.

 

There are public improvements associated with this project.
