RE:	Kansas Food Truck Festival 2016: Special Event Permit SE-15-00621

Background

A Special Event Permit has been requested for The Kansas Food Truck Festival at 810 Pennsylvania on May 7, 2016 by The Cider Gallery, with permission of Cider Gallery partners, LLC & Cider Gallery LLC, property owners of record.

This is the 3^rd annual Kansas Food Truck Festival.  There is an associated Use of Right-of-Way permit for street closings, evening hours of operation and live music/entertainment so this special event permit requires approval of the City Commission.  The Use of Right-of-Way permit was approved by the City Commission and issued on 3-1-2016.  All parking/traffic plans and conditions associated with that approval will also apply to this Special Event Permit.

Staff Recommendation

Planning staff recommends approval of the Special Event Permit SE-15-00621 for The Kansas Food Truck Festival at 810 Pennsylvania Street from 4pm to 10pm on May 7, 2016 subject to the conditions listed in the Special Event permit and approved Use of Right-of-Way permit.

Action

Approve SE-15-00621, if appropriate.
