Attached, please find 2015 Annual Reports for the Public Works Department and the Lawrence Douglas County Fire Medical Department.

American Public Works Association Project of the Year Awards

The American Public Works Association (APWA) Kansas Chapter selected its Project of the Year Awards for 2015 Projects and the City of Lawrence received three awards.  See attached for more information.

American Public Works Association – KS Chapter Snow Roadeo Competition

Public Works Street Division employees earned awards at the recent APWA, KS Chapter Snow Roadeo Completion. See attached for more information.

Monthly Building Permit Reports

The Building Safety Division issued 180 building permits in February, with total construction for the month valued at $26,767,969.  Total permit fees assessed for the month were $133,203.  Permits were issued for twenty-eight (28) new residential projects, including twelve (12) single-family dwellings, two (2) congregate dwellings and fourteen (14) multi-family dwellings.
