RE:	Appointments for various boards and commissions

I recommend the following individual(s) for appointment(s).  I have included phone numbers, if available.  Please feel free to call any of them to discuss their potential appointments.  I believe they are willing to answer your questions or receive any comments you might have.

Community Development Advisory Committee:

Appoint Blake Swenson (785.979.4880) to fill a vacant term that would expire 09/30/18.  Appoint Frank Brown (816.877.6107) to fill the at-large vacant term that would expire 09/30/18.

Homeless Issues Advisory Committee:

Appoint Christian Ballard (785.840.9881) to fill a vacant term that would expire 12/31/16.  Reappoint Brad Cook (785.423.4174) to an additional term that would expire 12/31/18.

Lawrence Cultural Arts Commission:

Appoint Kristina Walker (785.550.1988) to a term that expires 01/31/16.  Ms. Walker’s term will be from 01/31/16 – 01/31/19.  Appoint Joshua Fallleaf (281.433.4219) to a term that expires 01/31/16. Mr. Fallleaf’s term will be from 01/31/16 – 01/31/19.  Reappoint Katherine Simmons (913.702.5503), Sean Reardon (785.766.7585), and Jerry Johnson ( 785.979.7880) to additional terms that all expire 01/31/19.

Parks & Recreation Advisory Board:

Appoint Allen Humphrey (785.749.3298) to a position that expires 12/31/19.

Planning Commission:

Appoint James Carpenter (785.979.5713) to fill a vacant term that would expire 05/31/17.

Public Transit Advisory Committee:

Reappoint James Pavison (219.781.9409) to an additional term that would expire 12/31/18.  Reappoint Mark Hurt (785.766.2293) to a third term that would expire 12/31/18.  Staff Memo

Appoint Mike Dever (785.550.4909) to fill a vacant term that would expire 12/31/17.  Reappoint Bob Schumm (785.766.0888) to an additional term that would expire 12/31/18.
