RE: |
Addendum to “Professional Services Agreement Between PB Americas, Inc., and the City of Lawrence, Kansas.” |
____________________________________________________________________________ _
On July 7, 2010, the City and PB Americas, Inc., entered into an Agreement whereby, with a budget of $20,000, PB Americas, Inc., agreed to do certain modeling work to assist the Lawrence-Douglas County Metropolitan Planning Organization (L-DC MPO) in its future transportation planning. The Agreement expires December 31, 2011, but the City possesses an option to extend it one year to December 31, 2012.
Earlier this year, the L-DC MPO received additional Consolidated Planning Grant Funds in the amount of $27,000. As a result of that grant, the L-DC MPO proposed to PB Americas that, if approved by the City Commission, the City would execute an addendum to the July 7, 2010, Agreement, increasing the budget of the Agreement from $20,000 to $47,000, outlining additional modeling work that PB Americas, Inc., will do for the L-DC MPO, and extending the Agreement one year, from December 31, 2011, through December 31, 2012. PB Americas, Inc., recently accepted that proposal, subject to City Commission approval.
All funds related to the increased budget have been received by the L-DC MPO and are currently programmed into its 2011 Unified Planning Work Program. There would be no additional cost to the City.
Action Requested: Staff requests the City Commission to authorize the City Manager to execute an Addendum to the July 7, 2010, “Professional Services Agreement Between PB Americas, Inc., and the City of Lawrence, Kansas,” increasing the budget under that Agreement from $20,000.00 to $47,000.00, outlining additional modeling work that PB Americas, Inc., will do for the L-DC MPO, and exercising the City’s option to extend the Agreement one year through December 31, 2012.
