1530 W 6th Street (SP-05-23-10) Variance request from City Code 19-214(B) 

 

 

 

Please include the following item on the City Commission agenda for consideration at the July 27, 2010 meeting:

Approval of the attached request by Treanor Architects, on behalf of the owner of the property at 1530 W. 6th Street, SNSC Properties, LLC, for a variance from 19-214B of the City Code which states that a private sanitary sewer service line shall not be located in a City public right of way for greater than 15 feet. 

SNSC Properties, LLC, the property owner of 1530 W. 6th Street, recently submitted a site plan application to move an existing dumpster and to improve the drive/parking area on the east side of the property.  The building’s existing sanitary sewer service line connects to the public sanitary sewer main located approximately 53 feet into Wisconsin Street right of way. While the service line will not be modified as part of the current redevelopment the requested variance does bring the property into compliance with the current code.

Action Request. Department of Utilities staff requests the City Commission’s approval of the requested variance from 19-214B of the code for 1530 W. 6th Street.
