License Agreement between the City of Lawrence and Hedges Real Estate |
Please include the following item on the City Commission consent agenda for consideration at the September 1, 2009 meeting:
Hedges Real Estate has submitted a request through a license agreement to place a private business sign on the City of Lawrence’s right of way. The location of the sign is 3300 Clinton Parkway (see attached photo).
The Public Works, Planning and Legal Departments have reviewed the request and solicited input from all users of the right of way. All users have agreed to allow the sign to be placed in the right of way as outlined in the license agreement.
The license agreement indemnifies the City of Lawrence and gives the City of Lawrence the right to have the sign removed or relocated if the sign interferes with future right of way activities.
Action Request. Authorize the City Manager to execute and approve a License Agreement between the City of Lawrence and Hedges Real Estate.
