RE:	Bras Across the Kaw

Please place the following request on the October 14, 2008 City Commission meeting agenda.

KLZR/KLWN Radio has requested permission to post two signs in City right-of-way near the entrances to the Kansas River bridges, as well as hang bras along the railings adjacent to the walkways across the bridges, promoting breast cancer awareness through “Bras Across the Kaw,” from October 17-25, 2008.

ACTION:       Approve, as “signs of community interest”, a request from KLZR/KLWN Radio to hang two signs promoting the “Bras Across the Kaw” breast cancer awareness event on public right-of-way near the entrances to the Kansas River bridges, and approve the use of public right-of-way to hang bras along the railings adjacent to the walkways across the bridges, from October 17-25, 2008, if appropriate.
