On May 13, 2008 the City of Lawrence opened proposals for the following:

Project PW0808 – 2008 Overlay Program, Phase 1

Additional Information:

The 2008 Overlay Program Phase 1 project is part of the annually contracted pavement maintenance program. The work includes milling and overlaying of streets in and near the downtown Lawrence area which includes Massachusetts from 6^th to North Park, 7^th from Vermont to New York, and Kentucky from 6^th to 12^th. Primary work efforts will be focused on the completion of Massachusetts no later than Friday, July 11, 2008 and will include incremental two to three block street closures. Furthermore, no work on any portion of the project will be allowed specifically on Thursday, July 17, 2008, during the sidewalk sale. Other event dates have also been noted in project documents.

Recommendation Action:

Approve bid from LRM Industries, Inc., Project No. PW0808 in the amount of $491,995.60 provided the contractor can meet the terms established in the contract documents.
