RE:	500 Rockledge Road (SP-01-02-08) Ordinance Variance Request

Please include the following item on the City Commission consent agenda for consideration at the April 29, 2008 meeting:

Approval of the request by Kevin Vogt with Peridian Group, on behalf of the property owner of 500 Rockledge Road, for a variance from City code 19-214B which states, “a private sanitary sewer service line shall not be located in a City public right of way for greater than 15 feet.” The existing sanitary sewer main is in the middle of Rockledge Road and the existing service line is more than 15 feet into the right of way. The current property owner has submitted a site plan for minor modifications to change the current use from office space to a daycare. The Department of Utilities has reviewed the request and recommends that the variance be approved.

Action Request. Approve the request for a variance from City Code 19-214B which states that a private sanitary sewer service line shall not be located in a City public right of way for greater than 15 feet for 500 Rockledge Road.
