RE:	Ordinance Establishing the Oread Redevelopment District

On February 12, 2008, the City Commission adopted Ordinance 8234 establishing the Oread Redevelopment District on first reading. Two clerical modifications were made to the Ordinance for second reading. First, a whereas clause was modified to indicate the hearing was held and closed on February 12, 2008. Second, Section 4 in the 2/12/08 version of the Ordinance authorizing the issuance of bonds was removed because the Oread Redevelopment Project is using a pay as you go financing mechanism and the City will be not be issuing bonds to finance the costs of implementing the district plan.

The Ordinance modifications do not alter the findings of the City Commission, the district plan or the district boundary.

Action Requested: Staff recommends that the Governing Body adopt on second reading Ordinance 8234 establishing the Oread Redevelopment District.
