Please include the following item on the City Commission consent agenda for consideration at the December 11, 2007 meeting:

Approval of Change Order No. 1 (Final) for Project No. 10-SR5-307 (C) - 2007 Mill & Overlay Program, Phase 2 in the amount of $83,303.18.  

 

Project History The second phase of the annual mill & overlay program was awarded to LRM Industries, Inc. on June 26, 2007 for $1,110,652.60. The project included milling, full-depth base patching with both asphalt and concrete, new curb & gutter, storm inlet replacement, and a 2-inch asphalt overlay.

Project Details. Change Order No. 1 includes the final quantities for all bid items required to complete the streets included in the project.  Major increases occurred in the surface and leveling course items due to expanding paving on several side street tie-ins, as well as in the full-depth patching materials (both asphalt and concrete) due to the deteriorated condition of the existing underlying pavements. 

 

Project Status. The project is complete with the exception of some corrective work that will be completed in the spring when weather allows.

 

Project Funding. Additional funding for the project will come from remaining budgeted funds for the overlay program.

 

Action Request.  Public Works staff requests approval of Change Order No. 1 (Final) in the amount of $ 83,303.18.
