CITY MANAGER’S REPORT
Massachusetts Street Waterline Project Survey
Following the recent downtown waterline project, the Utilities Department sent a satisfaction survey to 72 downtown businesses. The 25 responses to the survey showed overall satisfaction with the work of the City and the contractor, with some concerns about the fire line incentive program and the economic impact of the project on businesses. The attached report contains more detailed results of the survey.

See attached photos of projects on Greenway Drive and Kingsmill Road. The rebuild of Barker Court has also been completed.

Communities in Motion Events
The Lawrence Transit System celebrated Communities in Motion Day on Thursday, October 5, by offering a free ridership day on the “T” fixed route. Rider appreciation prize packs were randomly distributed throughout the day to “T” passengers. The prize packs included a “T” tote bag with some small gifts. The rider appreciation packs were to thank current riders for their support of public transportation and the free ridership was to encourage residents that have never taken the “T” to try it out so that they can recognize the benefits. City Manager Dave Corliss assisted transit staff in distributing the prize packs over the lunch hour. Please see the attached photos of the event.
