RE:	1313 Haskell Avenue, unsafe structures

The referenced property has been inspected and found to be in violation of City Code, specifically the 1997 Uniform Building Code Section 102. The property is in an unsafe condition with two structures (house and garage) sitting on trailers and an open foundation and excavation. The structures were moved to this property from 1503 Haskell Avenue.

Due to the length of time that this has been ongoing, at this time I am requesting that a resolution be adopted setting a public hearing date of July 11, 2006.  The purpose of the hearing will be to discuss the status of the property and structures and to consider adopting an order to remove or repair the structures within a specified time.  Failure of the owner to comply would result in the City taking action to remove the unsafe conditions, this could either be removal of the garage and house structures or contracting to have the structures set on a permanent foundation and secured.
