2006 Parks CIP

 

 

Background Information:

During the 2006 budget process, several study session had agenda items dealing with “Second Generation” Parks projects.  The approved 2006 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) budget contains several capital projects for design and construction.

 

Staff Recommendation:

The group of projects listed in the attachment is recommended to be funded by general obligation bonds supported by sales tax.  Payments for the debt issuance for the 1995 Outdoor Pool Project ($2,445,000) ended last fall.  The first list of projects involves new facilities at either existing parks or the development of new parks.  A second group of renovations and upgrades to existing recreation facilities is also recommended and listed on the attachment.  Estimated project costs from both groups total $2,440,000.

 

Action Requested:

Authorize bond resolution and projects listed on the attached project list for 2006.
