RE:	Mad Greek Restaurant Sidewalk Dining License

Giorgio Pizza Express, Inc., d/b/a The Mad Greek, 907 Massachusetts, recently applied for a sidewalk dining license.  The related site plan (N-12-06-05/SP-12-97-05) was approved on the February 7^th City Commission Consent Agenda.  The applicant has met all necessary requirements to obtain a sidewalk dining license (including demonstrating that it meets the seventy percent (70%) food sales requirement).  In addition, the applicant requested that its patrons be allowed to possess and consume alcoholic beverages in the outdoor seating area.  As such, enclosed is Ordinance 7977 which, after its effective date, would allow possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages on this portion of city right of way. 

Staff recommends approval of the sidewalk dining license for Giorgio Pizza Express d/b/a The Mad Greek and adoption of the related Ordinance 7977.
