Incident Management Roles and Responsibilities

City of Lawrence Police Department	Coordinate with regional stakeholders to respond to incidents and plan for events.
City of Lawrence Public Works	Operate DMS for the distribution of incident information to travelers on the roadway.
	Responsible for the dissemination of traffic related data to other centers and the media.
	Coordinate with other traffic operations centers and emergency management agencies for coordinated incident management.
	Coordinate maintenance resources for incident response.
	Operate network surveillance equipment including CCTV cameras and vehicle detection for detection and verification of incidents on city streets.
Douglas County Emergency Communications	Dispatch public safety vehicles for incidents.
	Coordinate incident response with other public safety agencies and traffic management for incidents.
	Monitor traffic cameras for incident information.
Douglas County Emergency Management	Coordinate with regional stakeholders to respond to incidents and plan for events.
	Manage major emergency response and coordinate agencies and resources for the region.
Douglas County Public Works	Coordinate with regional stakeholders to respond to incidents and plan for events.
Douglas County Sheriffs Office	Coordinate with regional stakeholders to respond to incidents and plan for events.
Kansas Department of Emergency Management	Coordinate with regional stakeholders to respond to incidents and plan for events.
	Manage major emergency response at the state level.
Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT)	Coordinate with other traffic operations centers and emergency management agencies for coordinated incident management.

Kansas Highway Patrol	Coordinate incident response with other public safety and traffic management agencies.
	Dispatch KHP vehicles for highway incidents.
Kansas Turnpike Authority (KTA)	Operate network surveillance equipment including CCTV cameras and vehicle detection for detection and verification of incidents on the turnpike.
