Award Bid No. B1916 to Hettinger Excavating and authorize the City Manager to execute a construction contract in the amount of $758,254.00 for the 14th Street Waterline Replacement project (CIP# UT9902).

Executive Summary: |
The 14th Street Waterline Replacement includes the replacement of approximately 4300 linear feet of 6” & 8” waterline by HDD and/or conventional excavation and backfill. The project also includes the replacement of water services, valves, fittings, fire hydrants and other miscellaneous appurtenances for the waterline located along 14th street between Massachusetts Street and Delaware Street. The proposed improvements are generally located on the north side of 14th Street from Massachusetts Street to Delaware Street, and from New Hampshire Street north to 13th Street, New York Street south to 15th Street, and New Jersey Street south to 15th Street. The project is anticipated to be complete in late 2019.
Professional Engineering Consultants (PEC) completed construction documents and advertised the project on April 7, 2019. The City received three (3) bids and the low base bidder was Hettinger Excavating at $758,254.00. Bids were read on April 30, 2019 and are:
