The meeting was called to order by Steve Evans at 6:05 p.m. in the City

Commission Room, City Hall, 6 E. 6th Street.

 

 

ITEM NO. 1:

 

Approve Study Session minutes for November 28, 2018 Study Session and Regular Meeting minutes for December 3, 2018

 

Moved by Commissioner Hultine, seconded by Commissioner Bryan to approve minutes.  Motion passed 7-0.

2019 Street Maintenance Program

Action: Steve Lashley presented on 2019 Street Maintenance Program.

 Elect Chair and Vice Chair

 Action: Receive nominations and vote for chair and vice chair.   

 

Commissioner Bryan nominated Steve Evans for chair, seconded by Commissioner Paden.  Motion passed 7-0.  Commissioner Evans abstained. 

 

Commission Schartz nominated Donna Hultine for vice chair, seconded by Commissioner Bryan.  Motion passed 8-0.

ITEM NO. 5:

 

2018 Pedestrian/Bicycle Projects

Action: Jon Marburger presented the construction costs from bids received for the 2018 Sidewalk Gaps and ADA Ramps & 2017 CDBG ADA Ramps and Haskell Crossing.  Recommended approval of $200,000 of 2019 Pedestrian/Bicycle Funds to complete construction of 2018 Sidewalk Gaps and ADA Ramps project.

 

Commissioner Bowen did not want to spend 2019 dollars on 2017 and 2018 projects.  The thought was that doing the entire block might be cheaper that gaps.

 

Moved by Commissioner May, seconded by Commissioner Bryan to approve $200,000 of 2019 Pedestrian/Bicycle Funds to complete construction of 2018 Sidewalk Gaps and ADA Ramps project.    Motion passed 7-1 with Commissioner Bowen opposed.
