Recommendations/Options/Action Requested:

 

Receive a revised annual report for 2016, and the annual report for 2017 from the Sales Tax Audit Committee.

 

Executive Summary:

The Sales Tax Audit Committee was formed in 2008 to ensure that the City’s three special use taxes were being properly spent in accordance with the voter’s intent. The Committee has accomplished this task, but producing an annual report. Those reports can be reviewed here:

On March 4, 2019, the Sales Tax Audit Committee met and approved the attached reports. The Committee revised the 2016 report that was based on estimated expenses, and also approved the 2017 report based on the audited figures.

 

The Committee has decided to wait until the audited figures are available before issuing the report for 2018. The Committee intends to release that report in July.
