Background
The City received a $52,000 grant from the Douglas County Heritage Conservation Council to restore the receiving vault located at Oak Hill Cemetery. The receiving vault was constructed in 1884 and is in need of repointing the masonry and repairing the stone to prevent further damage to the structure from water infiltration. No bids were received for the first bid release. The bids for the second bid release for the project exceeded the grant allowance and Parks and Recreation will provide the remaining $7,479 for the project.
Project Description
The project will evaluate the structure for needed repointing and stone repair, complete the needed repointing and stone repair, and clean the structure removing biological growth and staining.

Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends the Commission award Bid #B1902 – Oak Hill Receiving Vault Restoration to Mid-Continental Restoration Co. Inc. and authorize the City Manager to enter an agreement with Mid-Continental Restoration Co. Inc. in the amount of $59,479 for the restoration of the receiving vault located at Oak Hill Cemetery.
