Program Status:
- The first letters were mailed
March 12, 2019
- The City Commission awarded the
bid to USA Concrete, LLC. On March 19, 2019
- There were 430 sidewalk hazards
identified
- 80 of those areas are City
responsibility to repair
- 350 are areas that the
adjacent property owner is responsible to repair (This represents 230
separate properties of which 42 are commercial.)
- 96 properties have contacted
the City through email or phone.
- Staff has met onsite with 25
properties
- The contractor is keeping track
of and meeting with property owners
- 12 grants for having two
sidewalks have been received and approved. (One was not approved.
Applicant did not have two sidewalks but wanted the City to pay for half.)
- One application for financial aid
based on income has been received and is being reviewed.
- We have found four sidewalk
hazards were inaccurately addressed to a neighboring property. Corrected
letters will be sent out.
- Preconstruction and Notice to
Proceed should be complete the week of April 1st.
- Second notices will be mailed
mid-April.
