Approve a special event permit (SE-19-00066) for the 2019 Brew to Brew Finish Line at 826 Pennsylvania Street on April 7th, 2019 from 8:00am to 6:00pm, subject to the conditions listed on the permit. 

 

Executive Summary:

 

The 2019 Brew to Brew Finish Line at 826 Pennsylvania Street is a Type 5 special event, which requires City Commission approval (Section 6-1505).  This special event permit was submitted by The Lawrence Beer Company, with permission of William Management LLC, the property owner of record.  The event will also utilize the 800 Block of Pennsylvania Street, between 8th and 9th Street.  Use of the right-of-way permit (CL-28041) was administratively reviewed by the Municipal Services & Operation department. 

 

This event has been held in the Lawrence community in recent years, but this is the first year that the finish line will be at this location.  This event will include alcohol sales and food trucks. A temporary liquor license ordinance request was on the City Commission agenda on March 5, 2019.

 

Planning Staff recommends approval of this special event permit, subject to the conditions listed on the special event permit.
