Background
The janitorial contract that the City was previously engaged in has not been rebid since 2012. The current vendor expressed their desire not to renew the contract under the same conditions. Due to the number of facilities impacted by this service, Bid No. B1903 was coordinated with several Departments and divisions within the MSO to establish a service level and expectation for contracted janitorial services.

Staff Recommendation
Service Systems is the low bid received for this service. Award bid and authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Service Systems for janitorial services for Bid No. B1903.

Award Bid No. B1903 and authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement for janitorial services for the City of Lawrence to the low bidder, Service Systems, in the amount of $177,192.00 annually.
