Award bid B1859 to TCS truck for one (1) Front Load refuse truck, in the amount of $166,216.00, as part of the 2019 CIP (PW19F1CIP) replacement schedule.

 

Executive Summary:

 

Solid Waste identified the replacement of unit #413 in the 2019 budget and 2019 CIP process. Unit #413 has been identified to meet the replacement criteria that utilizes age, maintenance, and upkeep.  Bids were opened on January 8th, 2019 for the replacement of unit #413.  Central Maintenance Garage and Solid Waste Staff recommend the low bid from TCS truck. Front load refuse trucks serve an integral part of commercial refuse collection.  Replacement of high mileage/hours units help to reduce down time and continue high levels of customer service.

The fiscal impact to the City is a net $166,216.00.  This pricing includes total pricing with trade value of unit #413.  This replacement has been identified in the CIP process and budgeted for 2019 (PW19F1CIP), Solid Waste Account #502-3-3515-6004.
