SUBORDINATION AGREEMENT

KNOWN ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS THAT:

WHEREAS, the City of Lawrence is the present legal holder and owner of a certain mortgage dated September 12, 2002 executed by David T. Shawley and Gabriella K. Shawley Mortgagor, to the City of Lawrence, as mortgagee, recorded November 19, 2002, in Book 812, Pages 1421-1423, in the office of the Register of Deeds, Douglas County, Kansas, and concerning the real property in Douglas County, Kansas, described as follows:

Lot 23, Block 4, of Replat of Cimarron Hills, a subdivision in the City of Lawrence, Douglas County, Kansas.

WHEREAS, said mortgagor has executed and delivered to

Meritrust Credit Union. a note and mortgage in the amount of $78,000 dated ______________________, said mortgage being recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds, Douglas County, Kansas, in Book _______, Pages ______-______, concerning the above described real estate; and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of said mortgagee to subordinate the above mortgage to the mortgage second above described.

NOW THEREFORE, for good and valuable consideration to it paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the said mortgagee, by these presents, hereby subordinates the mortgage first above described to the mortgage second above described.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City of Lawrence has hereunto caused this Agreement to be signed this 12th day of February, 2019.
