Executive Summary: |
At the City Commission meeting on December 18, 2018, the City Commission authorized staff to draft agreements for two projects to support affordable housing in response to a request for proposals for non-capital projects. The Commission directed staff to proceed with drafting agreements for the $200,000 in funding from the 2018 budget to these agencies. Additionally, the City Commission requested that the Affordable Housing Advisory Board consider granting the additional $90,000 to fully fund the Lawrence-Douglas County Housing Authority and Family Promise of Lawrence proposal by allocating $90,000 in housing trust funds from the 2019 funding. The board’s recommendation on that topic is a subject of another item on this agenda.
These agreements put in place the formal arrangement between the City and these agencies on the release of funds and ongoing requirements for these projects. |
