Award bid B1858 to Rush Truck Center for two (2) single axel hook refuse trucks, in the amount of $182,944.82, as part of the 2019 CIP (PW19F2CIP and PW19F6CIP) replacement schedule. |
Executive Summary: |
Solid Waste identified the replacement of units #499 and #491 in the 2019 budget and 2019 CIP (PW19F2CIP and PW19F6CIP). Unit #491, a bulk collections body truck, has been identified to be a candidate for realignment to fulfill operational needs. This unit’s replacement will be restructured to fill service level needs with a different unit configuration. Unit #499 will be replaced due to its age, mileage, and operational costs. Bids were opened on December 11, 2018 for the replacement of these units. Central Maintenance Garage and Solid Waste Staff recommend the low bid from Rush Truck Center. Reliable replacements of container trucks enable uninterrupted service for customers.
