Authorize the City Manager to sign the KU Fiber Agreement Addendum 5, “KU/Greenway Drive Fiber Connectivity Extension”

 

Executive Summary:

The City and KU have successfully collaborated on several fiber projects that have benefitted both organizations.  KU seeks to expand fiber connectivity in the East Hills Business Park to connect KU’s facility at 3813 Greenway Drive.  KU is requesting to use the same bid pricing and vendor, Rylie Equipment, on the fiber work that completed on Noria Road, KU Fiber Addendum #3, Bid# B1804; Project: PW1802 in August 2018.  The City will own the conduit in the right-of-way and KU has agreed to pay the project expenses.

Fiscal Impact (Amount/Source):

There is no fiscal impact to the City as KU will reimburse the cost of the project, estimated at $26,474.75.
