November 2018 Monthly Building Permit Reports

The Building Safety Division issued 220 building permits in November, with total construction for the month valued at $88,561,711. Total permit fees assessed for the month were $216,251, and total review fees assessed were $20,187.  Permits were issued for 56 new residential projects, including eight (8) single-family dwellings and 48 duplexes.    Staff Report    Monthly Report    Year-to-Date Summary

 

November 2018 Sales Tax Report

The November 2018 Sales Tax Report has been posted on the Finance Department’s site, https://lawrenceks.org/finance/accounting/sales-tax/.   The attached November report show year-to-date sales tax revenues with a 1.4% increase over the same period in 2017. November 2018 saw a one percent (1%) decrease over the same month in 2017.

 

EMS Agreement Discussion Update December 28, 2019

Assistant City Manager Diane Stoddard, Interim Fire/Medical Chief Shaun Coffey, Division Fire/Medical Chief Tom Fagan, and Interim Douglas County Administrator Sarah Plinsky have met on two occasions this month to begin discussions about the EMS services agreement between the City of Lawrence and Douglas County.  The group has drafted a project charter to guide the discussions and establish joint goals.  Two meetings have been planned for January and further updates will be provided as the discussions progress.
