Executive Summary: |
An application was submitted by Homes with Heart LLC, the property owner of record, to rezone approximately 0.150 acres located at 829 Mississippi Street from CS (Commercial Strip) District to RS5 (Single-Dwelling Residential) District.
The property contains two platted lots that are split zoned. The north lot contains a single-family residence and is zoned RS5 (Single-Dwelling Residential) District. The south lot is vacant and is zoned CS (Commercial Strip District). The intent of the rezoning request is to provide the property with a uniform zoning of RS5 District.
The Planning Commission considered the item at their September 26, 2018 meeting and voted unanimously to forward the rezoning request to the City Commission with a recommendation for approval.
