[i] Longevity pay was budgeted at a rate of $4 per month of service in 2019.  Of the $538,000 budgeted, $330,000 is in the General Operating Fund and $208,000 is in split between enterprise, special revenue and internal service funds.

[ii] Section 8.3.5 of the 2016-2019 Memorandum of Understanding between the City and IAFF Local 1596 states the City Commission, at its sole discretion, shall determine the actual rate of longevity pay, considering options of $4 per month of service, $2 per month of service, or such other amount as the City Commission determines appropriate.

[iii] Section 3.3 of the 2019-2020 Memorandum of Understanding between the City and LPOA defines the longevity pay calculation as a non-discretionary flat amount per period of service.
