Accept dedications of easements and rights-of-way as shown on the Mercato, 2nd Addition Final Plat. |

Executive Summary: |
The Mercato, 2nd Addition Final Plat (PF-18-00337) is a commercial subdivision with one lot of approximately 20.9 acres for the second phase of development in the Mercato development located in the northwest corner of the intersection of W. 6th Street and George Williams Way. The property is being platted and right-of-way dedicated to accommodate the development of a medical facility for Lawrence Memorial Hospital. The Kansas Department of Transportation has agreed to deed the right-of-way for Renaissance Drive to the City and to release a portion of the right-of-way deemed to be in excess of that needed to the adjacent property owners. This transaction will need to occur prior to the recording of the final plat with the Register of Deeds.
Utility and landscape easements are being dedicated in addition to the street right-of-way. The plat shows two off-site easements which will be dedicated by separate instrument and the recording information will be added to the plat prior to recording.
A new street network, including sidewalk, will be constructed, at the developer’s cost, from 6th Street to the west terminus of Rock Chalk Drive to serve the new lot and development. |

There is no fiscal impact to the City. The developer is responsible for financing the public improvements necessary to serve this project – street, sewer, water and private utilities. |
