Traffic Safety Concerns Website

Currently staff members from multiple departments receive calls and emails from residents who have concerns about repeated dangerous driving behavior in their neighborhoods.  In an effort to direct all citizen traffic safety concerns to one location, an online reporting form has been created.  The form will allow residents of Lawrence, KS to report traffic safety concerns such as speeding vehicles, vehicles running stops signs, failing to yield at crosswalks and other hazardous driving. The form requires residents to enter a specific location, type of concern, and days and times that the issue occurs most frequently.  The submissions from this form will be reviewed by MSO and LPD staff members on a regular basis.  The information will be used to identify trends and target education, enforcement and engineering to problematic locations or persistent issues.  The form is located at https://lawrenceks.org/traffic-safety/.  The form will be linked on the main City of Lawrence homepage and staff who regularly receives these concerns will be notified to direct residents to this website.
