Executive Summary: |
At the September 18, 2018 City Commission meeting, staff presented Ordinance No. 9563 for adoption. After staff’s presentation and public comment, the City Commission directed staff to revise Section 302.14 (tarpauling restricted exterior use) to permit the use of a tarpaulin (tarp) to cover firewood that is stored in accordance to Section 302.10. With that direction, the ordinance was adopted.
In addition, staff added the term ‘roofs’ to the list of items that a tarp shall not be used for other than as a temporary use as identified in Section 302.14. Staff noted this example in its presentation and believes this addition is appropriate to include as staff receives a fair amount of complaints involving tarps on roofs that involve long-term use due to the failure to repair a roof leak.
Ordinance No. 9563 is presented with these revisions for the Commission’s second reading and adoption. |
