   Executive Summary:  | 
  
   The property owner of the residence located at 1713 Inverness Drive is adding a new landscaped patio area in the rear of the residence. The plan includes a small fenced area for a dog that includes the installation of 285 SF of artificial turf. 
 City Code requires any use of artificial turf to be approved by the City Commission. Section 18-402 states that it may be installed if; 
 · It is of limited, small scale use; and · After application is made for such use to the Lawrence Douglas County Planning Department and approved by the City Commission. 
 This is a residential application of the material in a limited area in the rear yard.
