Executive Summary: |
An application was submitted by Paul Werner Architects, for Stanley R & Lois J Zaremba Trustee, Zaroco Inc, and Glen Hunter LLC, property owners of record, to rezone approximately 8.745 acres located northwest of the intersection of 31st & Haskell Ln, 800 E 30th St, 3035 Haskell Ln, 930 E 30th St, 2910 Haskell Ln. from IG (General Industrial)) District to IL (Limited Industrial) District.
The property contains developed lots and vacant land all located west of Haskell Lane. The rezoning was requested to expand the existing IL District boundary and ultimately include a parcel of land located between Haskell Lane and new Haskell Avenue for future redevelopment.
The applicant submitted a concept plan showing the potential for commercial and office uses and how lots may be arranged and included an option showing vacation of some existing right-of-way. The applicant has stated an intent to proceed with a future application for a preliminary plat including the proposed IL and the existing IL zoned land as a pre-development step.
The Planning Commission considered the item at their November 15, 2017 meeting and voted unanimously to forward the rezoning request to the City Commission with a recommendation for approval. |
