Executive Summary: |
The City of Lawrence traditionally prepares a Legislative Priority Statement to share with the area State legislative delegation. Attached is the proposed statement prepared for the 2018 session as well as the League of Kansas Municipalities’ 2018 Statement of Municipal Policy. The City of Lawrence greatly relies upon the work of the League in monitoring legislative issues.
We have also included a letter from Prosoco regarding energy efficiency and low-income housing tax credits for consideration. Please provide direction to staff if the Commission desires to incorporate these issues into its Legislative Priority Statement. |
