Adopt Ordinance No. 9419 authorizing the codification of ordinances of the City of Lawrence. |

Executive Summary: |
Since 2001, the City has been preparing its own codification of ordinances and publishing the same. The last general codification took place in January 2015. The on-line version of the code is maintained by the City Attorney’s Office and is kept up to date as ordinances are adopted. The City Attorney’s Office staff recommends adopting a new code at the end of the year to be known as the Code of the City of Lawrence 2018 Edition. Adoption of this ordinance will be followed by Ordinance 9420 which will adopt the City Code 2018 edition.

Fiscal Impact (Amount/Source): |
The estimated fiscal impact to the City is $500 to cover the costs of printing. This expense is budgeted by the City Clerk’s Office. At a minimum 10 copies of the City Code must be printed. |
